A Browser is a software application that allows the user to view and interact with information (text, images, etc..) Present within a Web page Currently, there are several browsers, including the most common and popular are Microsoft Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome.

To proceed to display Web content, the browser exploit a rendering engine, which is a software that, once downloaded the content (eg a HTML page) formats the information relating to them (for example, linked CSS) and shows them on the screen. Browser exploit different engines and different rendering the latter differ because of the quality of rendering, as compared to the standard, and for the speed of the same. It follows that the same Web page can be rendered in a manner very different depending on the browser used. In any case, since a Web page is a page printed, a certain degree of variability is acceptable as long as the user experience is not thereby damaged.
